ABOUT 10:01 ⏰

10:01 Media Collective is a dynamic, multimedia collective SPECIALIZING in film, music production, exhibitions, and other creative direction.

Founded in 2018 by Darien Woodard and Aneesah Parker, our media production company started as a space to showcase the creative work of its founders. Our debut project, We Are Black, garnered numerous award nominations and grants, earning critical acclaim for its commitment to artistic excellence. This success paved the way for future projects, positioning us as a significant force in the independent media space.

In 2020, we launched Six24, a short film about friends navigating adulthood, which marked Darien Woodard’s solo directorial debut. The film received over 50,000 views on YouTube and screened independently in Philadelphia. Prior to its release, Darien directed Dove, a Valentine’s Day short that explored love and vulnerability. In 2021, Darien participated in Big Picture Alliance’s Media and Film Future programs, creating Nightmareland, a horror anthology. The first short, You’ll Always Have Hope, won multiple awards at film festivals and has an anticipated Fall 2024 release.

We also collaborate with youth filmmakers through partnerships with Youth Set the Stage and Big Picture Alliance, producing films like The Sidewalk Rule, Takeout, You Are Me, and 459. In 2023, we worked with filmmaker Samara Huckvale on Them, which premiered at the Museum of Moving Image in New York City. Our mission is to amplify Black and queer voices, fostering a space for diverse narratives that push boundaries in multimedia art.
